At the first appointment the dentist will ensure you are dentally fit to go ahead with whitening they will then take a digital scan of your teeth. The scan will then be sent off to the lab to make bespoke trays. They will also go through a consent form which tells what to do and what not to do whilst whitening.
You have two choices you can either use a nighttime or daytime whitening gel.
The nighttime whitening gel is to be placed in your trays and worn overnight and works while you sleep. The day time gel is to be placed in your trays and worn for an hour per day.
At the second appointment approximately 2 weeks after the first, the dentist will fit your bespoke trays and show you how and where to place the gel. You will be given a kit with four tubes of bleaching gel, any additional tubes of gel will be available to purchase at the practice this includes gels for monthly top ups.
